Deniz Sertkol (she/her) is a German-Turkish filmmaker, curator, and media artist based in New York. Her work revolves around the politics of power and the other/migrant/female body.

Deniz obtained her master’s degree in the European Media Studies program at the University of Potsdam and the University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam with „Transit Deutschland“ – a series of experimental documentary short films focussing on Turkish migration in Germany.

She is currently in pre-production for her next experimental film.
